Headteacher Message

Mr. Worthington

This week has been a busy one at Dean Trust Ardwick as we enter into the penultimate week of Half Term 1. Our pupils have had the privilege of watching an assembly Delivered by MILK, who shared their ambition to ‘make life kind’.

We also have delivered assemblies linking to Black History Month where we encouraged all our pupils to ‘be the change they want to see in the world’ and continue to take positive action through acts of kindness.

This week a group of our Year 10 pupils attended the Manchester Safeguarding Partnership Conference. The event is organised by the Rights Respecting Schools Award and Manchester City Council, and brings together a select number of schools to speak out on safeguarding issues that are relevant to them that the school has a significant level of involvement in shaping society through making Manchester a child friendly city. We are so proud of the contribution our pupils made and of the significant level of involvement we have as a school in shaping society through making Manchester a child friendly city.

Next week we have Year 7 Welcome Evening where our new cohort and their families can attend and have the opportunity to find out a bit more about the school and ask any questions they may have. I look forward to seeing you all there.
