Dear Parents and Carers,
As part of sharing good practice across Dean Trust, the five secondary Headteachers will be undertaking a ‘Heads swap’ this week from 9-12th January. This means that each school will host a Headteacher from one of our Trust secondary schools. I shall visiting Dean Trust Wigan for the week, and we shall be welcoming Mr McConaghie, Headteacher from Broadoak School, Partington.
All Heads shall return to their own schools.
Year 9 pupils will already know Mr McConaghie from Year 7 when we used to visit Broadoak twice a week for lessons before our school building was built, so he will be a familiar face to them.
There will be no disruption whatsoever to the school day. If there are any urgent matters that you would normally wish to speak to me about, please contact the Deputy Head, Mr Worthington, who will deal with any such issues.
Mr McConaghie will work closely with the Senior Leadership and will be visible around school, spending time visiting lessons, and talking with pupils and staff about Dean Trust Ardwick. If you see him at the front of school or at our Coffee Morning this coming Friday, please do say ‘hello’!
I am sure this exercise will be of great benefit to the Dean Trust Headteachers as it will enable us to see how the other schools work within the Trust, give us good ideas for our own school, and help us grow even stronger together as a team of schools.
Enjoy the week ahead.
Ms S. Finlay
