At Dean Trust Ardwick, every subject area and every teacher contributes to our rich and varied extra-curricular timetable. Our commitment to extra-curricular activities stems from our school vision, and our aspiration to inspire every pupil to achieve their highest potential and ambition. We appreciate that this involves not only academic excellence, but also personal excellence. We expect every pupil to seize the opportunity to attend at least one extra-curricular activity. Therefore, every pupil at Dean Trust Ardwick has their own Passport to Excellence, a document designed to act as a record of all of their achievements, both academic and extra-curricular. A pupil who takes every opportunity and strives to be the best that they can be will move from Bronze to Silver to Gold passports during their time at Dean Trust Ardwick, and will be able to take their Gold passport with them as they move on to the next stage in their education.
Underlying all of our extra-curricular provision at Dean Trust Ardwick is our commitment to children’s rights, as enshrined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Every child has the right to an education that develops their personality, talents and abilities. Every child has the right to relax, play and take part in a wide range of cultural and artistic activities. Moreover, every child has the right to express their views, feelings and wishes in all matters affecting them, and to have their views considered and taken seriously. At Dean Trust Ardwick, we are working with Unicef to achieve the Rights Respecting Schools Award, putting the rights of our pupils at the heart of everything that we do.Enrichment Timetables
